Fiodhag Wind Farm is a proposed new renewable energy project which would contribute to achieving Scotland’s climate change target of net zero emissions by 2045.
Formerly named Fasnakyle Wind Farm, the project could produce up to approximately 650GWh each year, equivalent to the annual power needs of 175,000 homes, dependent on the ultimate design of the wind farm.
The wind farm would be located to south and east of the village of Tomich in Strathglass, around 30 miles southwest of Inverness, and generate a substantial community benefit fund to be invested in the local area in each year of its lifetime.
In addition, vento ludens will be offering the local community the opportunity to take an ownership stake in the development and seeking to work with local suppliers wherever possible to maximise the economic benefits to the local area.
vento ludens is also working hard to ensure its proposals maximise the generation of clean power whilst respecting the local environment.
